Design Center Figueras International Seating

The Design Centre of Figueras International Seating is located within one of the brand’s production halls, establishing a tangible connection between product design and manufacturing. Within the same complex, the company’s offices are housed in an adjacent building.

Being situated inside the factory halls, the concept of the Design Centre was to preserve the original spatial character while introducing a new, non-invasive and ‘transportable’ module to accommodate the client’s required functions.

The existing elements—metal pillars and trusses, overhead skylights, window openings, and concrete flooring—remain intact. A new white steel structure with composite slab flooring and pine carpentry was introduced. The ground floor houses the historical and current showroom, a meeting room, a photography studio, a model workshop, and office and restroom facilities. The upper floor contains the open-plan design studio, visually connected to the entire space.
